Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 — It was damn painful at times. The only thing that kept me going was that I knew it was supposedly quite short. But not short enough.

This. Is. Necessary.
I’ve started to think that it’s time to clear my backlog. Looking forward there’s a fistful of games I’m excited about, but I can’t help but look backwards as well. And there’s a lot of games in my rearview mirror I should finish.

So I bought a Wii...
This week I got a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Like some evil plot constructed by Nintendo’s own Miyamoto and Reggie I went out and bought a Wii (for the third time since its release for those keeping tabs.) So far I’ve put two hours into it and two things have stood out.

I sure hope whoever green-lit Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days at Eidos gets straightened up by his or hers Square-Enix overlords. It just feels broken all the way through the first three missions and I can’t bear playing it any longer. Goodbye, we barely got to know each other…

I bought Final Fantasy XIII again thinking that there must have been something I missed the first time around. Took three minutes to jump to a conclusion: There’s more fun to be had in watching paint dry.
